A home away from home, Casa Henequen is our largest accommodation, a 670 square foot one bedroom casita with a living room, bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen including a marble island with seating for two, Nespresso machine, stove with a convection oven, broiler and air fryer, and refrigerator/freezer, accessorized with artisanal Mexican dishware and glassware.  It is filled with antiques and artwork collected from around the world by Marjorie and Bruno, a large screen television, private entrance, adjacent parking and WiFi.  Fully screened windows with beautiful ironwork allow you to leave your windows open to enjoy the near constant breezes of the northern Yucatan and the myriad bird songs, along with breathtaking views of the glorious skies here, remarkable day and night – they are one of the reasons that we moved here. Breakfast is served on the shared terrace adjacent to the swimming pool, just steps from the front door.  After sunset, the large terrace and swimming pool are reserved exclusively for your use.  There is a charcoal grill and outdoor dining area in addition to the outdoor living room.  The dining table can be moved out under the stars should you wish, the sky is amazing here.  It is also possible to have a private local chef come in to cook a traditional Yucatecan dinner for you with advance notice…or have the Trovadores from our Kookix Music School come and serenade you for your cocktail hour.  We can pre stock your refrigerator as well before your arrival, send us your shopping list!
